Trip from 16 - 23 July 2023, on the Moselle from Thionville to Nancy

Dear Paul, dear Barbara, a big thank you to both of you. You made the six days on the Arc en Ciel a feel-good adventure, chill and enjoyment adventure. Together with Jeannette we were a great quartet and got along very well. The weather was perfect too, dry and not too hot. The varied, dreamy landscapes, nature and animals that we were able to marvel at (we even spotted a Nuria), everything was very enjoyable and chilled. I had two books in my luggage, I didn't read a single page, I enjoyed every moment too much, and was also busy helping with the locks. Conclusion: I'll be back :-)

Individual excursions, lunch and dinner are not included in the offer. This gives you the freedom to plan your days according to your culinary needs. 

There! Chilling is a given, enjoying and relaxing!Comfortable on the walls with a good mood,We dry gently in the arch and sky,For breakfast there are croissants, cheese and honey!«Look at one there!» shouted our captain, proudly showing him water lilies, birds and swans!We can't even get out of the moodAnd we're already at the front of the boat, peeping!Until a wonderful smell wakes us!We look up... the table is set.Not just tuna salad, how could it be!On the table next to the flowers there is a little wine!Despite the stress of the locks and port maneuvers,Laughing and friendly, there is something for the boaters!We go straight up by bike and into the valleyMagical, the Fänschter from Mr Chagall.Then back to the pub, without any banterTo choucroute, snails and frog's tails!In Degg there's whisky with sunsetAnd a lovely cuckoo song.Oh dear, oh dear...the romantic tour, Paul's program, pure relaxation!At the end we're in Nancy, a great townThe Art Nouveau puts you in checkmate!For luck there's Place StanislasFor my feet and two or three glasses!A great trip with Paul and his shipAlready over! We enjoyed it, sniff!Whether on the canal, on the Moselle or in the RhineThanks for everything, we're back over!

Dear Paul, dear Stephan, At the end of May I was able to spend an unforgettable week on the Arc en Ciel with my friends. We were able to leave our everyday life completely "on land" and immersed ourselves in a world of peace and serenity. The leisurely "gliding along" on the Canal de la Marne au Rhin, the enchanting landscape, the sleepy villages, the animals and the morning and evening atmospheres did our souls good. Culinary highlights followed one another and I can only take my hat off to you :-). We felt at home and didn't want to leave the ship at all, your all-round care was top class. Dear Paul, you gave me a wonderful "gift" by allowing me to accompany you on the journey home from Dôle to Mulhouse. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we were able to enjoy the entire journey outside and admire the autumnal landscape. For me, it was an unforgettable tour, with all the locks, the small villages, the good conversations, and the fine food on the ship, or outside. Dear Paul, I would like to thank you again for the 5 wonderful days with you on the Arche de Ciel! I felt completely at home and you took your guests' wishes into account. I especially liked the fact that we were almost only in nature, always slept "wild" and were able to enjoy the water, the sun and the peace and quiet on deserted beaches. Best wishes, Michael

During our tour on the Rhine and into Alsace we decided to do a follow-up tour in France. This took place in changeable weather at the end of June/beginning of July. It took us from Dole on the Doubs and the Saône down to the Rhone in Lyon. The slow pace, the good service on board and the beautiful nature gave us the best possible rest. As a result, we are already planning the next tour - probably on the Moselle. Many thanks again to the captain and the sailor!

A weekend trip to Alsace, just outside Basel, was simply wonderful. Why go far away when the beauty is so close? Combined with Paul's culinary arts, it was the perfect combination to activate all the senses. Paul, thank you for everything, we'll be back soon!

SalutBasel city walkers on the wrong track. With the boat ARC EN CIEL and the captain, helmsman, sailor, head chef and head waiter (in one person) Paul to Brislach (overnight stay, no visit to Brislach possible; due to Corona). On the second day up the Rhine to Kembs, used the side canal, overnight stay. On the third day back to Basel. PURE relaxation, thanks also to the fantastic weather. Being pampered by Paul alone is worth the trip.We were not on this boat for the last time and will be pampered again.Blyybed gsund

The fastest way to slow down in the world...from Nancy to Saverne, the careful captain Paul and his cool sailor Léon lead us safely through the canals and locks. On soft mats and under shaded cloths, we enjoy the quiet journey on the front deck and watch the landscapes pass by. Our physical well-being is always taken care of on board and a rich breakfast is ready for us on the back deck every day as soon as the engine starts. The evenings with a fine meal and a delicious glass of wine remain unforgettable! We literally feel like kings and queens in France! Dear Paul and Léon, thank you very much for the wonderful trip with you as aect crew and as dear friends!

What a surprise when you told me about your new project.

Since we have already done river trips like this (Central Thurgau), we were very excited about your boat trip.

From the very beginning, this was a very special feeling. Homely, personal, free, relaxing and close to nature. A new way to discover France.

It was simply great. We will book another trip with Arc-en-ciel next year.

Dear Paul, Captain and Guest Relations Manager

This time with you on the Arc en Ciel is bursting out of every crack in our hearts and is burned into our hearts! With you as our friend and captain, we were able to experience an unforgettable adventure through the mystical and untouched nature of the Saône. Kingfishers, herons and cormorants were our constant companions. The small, cute harbors and the idyllic French towns were the destination of every day. After the first few meters, we were able to quickly forget everyday life and immerse ourselves in this unknown world of shipping. Grateful for these unforgettable moments, be it at breakfast together with delicious French croissants, the culinary delightful aperitifs or the fondue under the full moon on deck. Paul, you were a wonderful tour guide and captain and you read all our wishes from our lips, we just felt so comfortable with you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for that.

Dear Paul

We will probably be living off our trip in September for a long time to come. The Corona situation in France unexpectedly took us to Burgundy instead of the south, which turned out to be a stroke of luck. Beautiful landscapes and towns, interesting discoveries and of course fine food. The weather left nothing to be desired, we were even able to go swimming. And then in the evening we did a bit of philosophizing on deck with a nightcap. All in all, an unforgettable and very relaxing trip, recommended for anyone who likes to travel away from large crowds.

Thank you very much for your hospitality and flexibility. Hope to see you on board again soon!
